If I hugged you with all of my love
your lungs would shrink, your intestines would tug
Your belly button would latch to a bone in your back
til I hugged you so hard you that you snapped in half!

your feet would be running, over there 'cross the floor
your head would be wonderin', what they're running for.
My goodness young lad, you'd be hugged in half!
No, that cannot be, we can not have that.

So when I hug you, its with, a lil' of my love.
to keep your feet from leavin', your head up above.


If I kissed you with all of my love
you'd end up with cheeks full of blisters and puss
from your forehead to back would be a lip-shaped scab
til I kissed you so much that your heart got chapped

and that would be awful, your heart is so fine
your smile so confident, your eyeballs so kind
Such a nice face, full of blisters and scabs?
No that cannot be, we can not have that.

So when I give you a kiss, its with, a lil' of my love
to keep your skin shinin' like your head up above


If I played with you with all of my love
I'd toss you so high, you'd fly like a dove
and then you'd appear, past Earth's atmosphere
til you orbit the sun, as planet “No-Fear.”

The scientists would clamor, the astrologists would gasp
“An age of peace and tranquility is coming at last!”
but then we couldn't play and that would be sad.
No that cannot be, we can not have that.

So when I play with you, its with, a lil' of my love
cause you belong on earth not high up above


A dilemma of the elders, is the power of our love
'volcanoe' and 'earthquake' are not words enough
so when it comes to the love, that we have for you
we give it with care, and follow each clue

that you give to us, on how it should be
hey, you're getting older, just the same as me!
and if things get bad and you say “Mom and Dad
no that cannot be, we can not have that.”
